WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are searching for an exceptional person to take a position in our sales engineering organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital technology and can take a leadership position in sales engineering. This person must have a proven track record in digital media and is from within the enterprise platform or managed/cloud services industry. The candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication and negotiating skills.

THE EVERYDAY VIEW
The Sales (Solutions) Engineer is responsible for providing technical pre-sales support to potential and current customers of our Software-as-a Service (SaaS) platform, and Live Broadcast event services. The Sales (Solutions) Engineer will be required to represent the technical aspects of NeuLion’s services and provide creative solutions that fit the business objectives of our customers. An equally important role of this position is to identify customer requirements that fall outside standard capabilities, and document them in a GAP analysis which forms the foundation for work estimation, development and testing.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or other related degree.
  • 8 or more years in an Enterprise Sales Engineering role involving significant client contact.
  • Experience in Broadcast Media, Entertainment and/or Professional Sports entities.
  • Knowledge of video encoding technology and content delivery network (CDN) techniques.
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies, including adaptive streaming (Adobe, Microsoft and Apple) web applications, XML, server-side scripting and internet network protocols of current sports and general content owners is preferred.
